UAWP Hires Full Time Coordinator

In early 2024, the UAWP hired their first full time Coordinator. Natalie Allio, the part time coordinator who led the partnership's work from 2020 through 2023, took a new position as the Manager of the Western Grazing Network. She left big shoes to fill.

The new coordinator, Nathan Ward, grew up in the Upper Arkansas River Valley, and his family homesteaded in the lower Arkansas River Valley where they farmed and ranched for nearly 100 years. Nathan brings with him a deep commitment to the valley and the rural way of life. His background includes extensive work in media and communications, project management, small-scale farming and outdoor recreation. He's won awards for his work, everything from a grand champion ribbon at the Chaffee County Fair, to a Heartland Emmy from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

When not working, you'll find Nathan beekeeping, fly fishing, mountain biking and spending time with his extended family in the valley.
